Sergiu and his work have garnered the attention of local and national media. Most recently in 2023, he was interviewed on Youth Radio Moldova, and his work was featured on the television programme Tele Matinal.
Sergiu lives and works in Chișinău, Moldova.
His passion is defined by the shape of lines and colours, whose vibrancy and intensity reflect life itself.
For him, art is stability— emotional stability— which comes with self-discovery, and the desire to progress and evolve more.
He is particularly interested in the stylisations of figures. As he creates, what fascinates him the most is the energy he receives as he explore and experiment with the subtlety of the line. A simple gesture, a brushstroke, the thinning or thickening of lines in a composition, can completely change the emotion and expression of the figure. He feels is own emotions flowing onto the canvas, changing and modulating as they do in real life. Going further into the depths of emotion, He explores a full range of aesthetics to represent human thoughts and feelings. He is fascinated by the interplay of unusual dimensions and shapes to represent expressions, bodies, stances, and nature. He strives to create art that intrigues the viewer, that creates rhythm and movement, and that showcases gestures that convey a message. He wants viewers to see the expressions he has created, emerging from the canvas. Through modulation and deformation of classic figures such as nudes, he impart new meaning and figuration onto them. Beyond the surface, he seeks to instil in his work a spiritual beauty which he looks for very often and see in the people around him. This is his inspiration.
He invite you to look at every line and shade of colour in his works. He hopes you will see and feel in them the emotion and state of mind that sometimes we do not have the courage to know or recognize as being present in us all.
