Popkapi

Popkapi was born in 1980 in Bangkok, Thailand where he grew up listening to his grandmother’s naughty sense of humor, and those playful attitudes are still alive in him today. He says those characteristics are represented in his work.

He attended Fine Arts College according to his father’s guidance. He worked full time while also
being a freelance artist for 6 years until he decided to quit his job to focus on art. Popkapi loves street art,
pop art, tribal art and contemporary art. He combines them together to create his own style. He uses
vibrant and vivid colors to represent liveliness, which also attracts audiences. He uses each line to create
form, and uses stencils to make textures more interesting. Each element and detail in his works have been
influenced by factors such as life experience, interests, and emotions. For the last 3 years, his paintings
have been inspired by his kids.
