Spring – South East Asia Group Exhibition

The contemporary art market in Southeast Asia is newly emerging within the global art-loving community.

Artists from Southeast Asia are gradually asserting their valuable presence, as more of their works appear in famous art fairs, private collections, and museums around the world.

Currently, Southeast Asia’s economy is developing at a rapid rate. As countries are steadily becoming more wealthy, people have been paying more attention to art. Governments have been investing heavily in arts and culture.
Most of the countries in Southeast Asia were once European colonies, and it is easy to detect these influences in the art. However, Southeast Asia consists of countries with many different cultures and each country has its own distinct character.
The population of Southeast Asia is growing rapidly, with a heavy concentration of young people. This
new generation brings fresh perspectives and is producing many extraordinary emerging artists in the international scene.
The mission of the Tobian Art Gallery is to find and empower new emerging talents on a global scale. The founders are familiar with Southeast Asia and have been collaborating with artists from Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Laos since the day Tobian Art Gallery opened. SPRING is the new collection of artworks on display from April 1st at the Tobian Art Gallery.
It is a way to celebrate the coming season through the vibrant colors and the precious artworks of a group of talented emerging artists from Southeast Asia.
This group exhibition aims to showcase the talented young artists we collaborate with, hoping to bring to Florence a bit of the poetry, color and energy we experience each time we visit their world!  Among the names of the artists already known by the gallery friends, there will be on display the artwork of Diamond, Sunchai, Popkapi and Murdika.

l mercato dell’arte contemporanea nel sud-est asiatico è ancora abbastanza nuovo per la comunità internazionale e per gli amanti dell’arte. Tuttavia, le opere di artisti del sud-est asiatico stanno gradualmente affermando il loro valore man mano che le loro opere appaiono in famose fiere d’arte, collezioni private o musei.

Attualmente, il sud-est asiatico si sta sviluppando economicamente con un rapido tasso di crescita. I paesi stanno gradualmente diventando più ricchi, quindi le persone prestano maggiore attenzione all’arte e i governi hanno investito molto in arte e cultura.

Inoltre, il sud-est asiatico è costituito da paesi con molte culture diverse e ogni paese ha il suo carattere distinto. La maggior parte dei paesi erano una volta colonie europee, quindi è facile trovare influenze e somiglianze nell’arte.

La popolazione nel sud-est asiatico sta crescendo rapidamente ed è giovane. I giovani portano nuove energie e nuovi e creativi artisti emergenti stanno arrivando sulla scena internazionale.

La missione della Tobian Art Gallery è quella di supportare nuovi talenti emergenti in tutto il mondo e i fondatori della galleria hanno familiarità con il sud-est asiatico e collaborano con artisti provenienti da Thailandia, Filippine, Indonesia, Vietnam e Laos sin dal giorno in cui la galleria e’ stata inaugurata.

SPRING è la nuova collezione di opere d’arte in esposizione dal 1 aprile alla Tobian Art Gallery. È il nostro modo di celebrare la prossima stagione attraverso i colori vibranti e le preziose opere d’arte di un gruppo di bravissimi artisti emergenti dal sud-est asiatico.

Questa mostra collettiva ha lo scopo di mostrare alcuni dei talentuosi giovani artisti che fanno già parte del nostro team. Speriamo di portare in città un po’ della poesia, del colore e dell’energia che sperimentiamo noi ogni volta che visitiamo il loro mondo!

Questo gruppo di artisti vende già attraverso gallerie d’arte a Hong Kong, Singapore e in Australia e in altri paesi e le loro opere d’arte si trovano in collezioni d’arte private in tutto il mondo. Fra i nomi gia’ conosciuti dagli amici della galleria ci saranno le opere di Popkapi, Sunchai, Murdika e Diamond.
