Francesco Martini

Francesco Martini (born on May 22, 1997, in Montevarchi, Arezzo, Italy) is a contemporary artist whose research develops at the intersection of abstract and bodily painting, performance art, and immersive installations. After graduating from the Liceo Artistico Piero della Francesca in Arezzo, he earned his degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. In 2023, he completed a one-month residency at the Chiasso Perduto space in Florence, focusing entirely on his creative process, followed by a three-month residency at 59 Rivoli in Paris, where he experimented with interactive installations. He completed an internship at the Tobian Art Gallery in Florence, where he oversaw exhibition layout and organization; his works are currently exhibited at the same gallery.

His exhibition journey reached a significant milestone in 2025 with his solo show Dal Corpo (From the Body), held at the Oblique Nuage gallery in Paris. In 2026, his work gained both national and international recognition: he represented Italy in the group exhibition Identité(s) Résistances et Métamorphoses at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, where he presented the performative installation Flowing, and he participated in the exhibition Worse Than Ivy at
Pavilion 36 in Forte Marghera with the installation Liminale (Liminal).
